Police bursts Katsina 419 syndicate, parades suspects

The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Police has arrested and paraded an alleged 419 syndicate terrorising the people of the state.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Sanni Agaisa, spoke to newsmen at the State Command in Katsina on Thursday.

Mr Agaisa said that the group had succeeded in duping one Mallam Jibril of about 13 million Naira and another Mrs Shamsudeen of about six million Naira, although the suspects claimed that they collected only 500,000 Naira.

He said that the group specialises in presenting themselves as spirits and claiming they can help their victim succeed in life and business.

The Police Commissioner, Usman Abdulahhi, said that the matter was under investigation.

He advised the people of the state to always report such crimes as the Police would always ensure that justice is served. (Channels TV)
