
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, September 23, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected over most parts of the region in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Birnin-Kebbi, Yelwa and southern Bornu later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34°C.
CENTRAL STATES: The area is expected to be cloudy with chances of early morning isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Jalingo, Mambilla, Makurdi and its environs. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over Minna, Bida and Ilorin axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 26 – 31°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: The region will experience increased cloudiness in the morning with probabilities of localised rains over Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Calabar. Localised thunderstorms/rain showers are not unlikely over the inland and coastal cities such as Delta, Bayelsa and Lagos including Benin, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 30°C.
