
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday, September 22, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Damaturu in the morning hours while there are prospects of thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening period over Damaturu, Potiskum, Nguru, Katsina, Kano, Zaria, Gusau and Yelwa. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32 –36°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over this region except around Bida, Minna, Abuja, Lokoja and Lafia where localised thunderstorms are likely. Pockets of thunderstorms are likely over parts of Jos, Plateau, Kaduna, Abuja and Bauchi within the afternoon/evening period. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 32°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness with chances of rain is anticipated over the inland cities of the southeast to the coast such as Enugu, Awka, Ogoja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa and Lagos during the morning hours. Isolated rains are probable over the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 –30°C.
