The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Tuesday, September 20, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy condition is expected over most parts of the region in the morning hours while partly cloudy to sunny conditions over Sokoto, Gusau, Kano, Yelwa and Maiduguri. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31 – 35°C.
CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of morning isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Lokoja, Mambila and southern Yola axis. Localised thunderstorms are also not unlikely over the high grounds of the central cities including Abuja, Kaduna, Bauchi, Jos and Lafia in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27 – 31°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are chances of localised rains over the inland of the southwest and the south east coast in the morning. Localised rains/showers over the coastal and inland cities such as Lagos, Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt including Oshogbo, Ilorin, Iseyin, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30 – 31°C.
