
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Monday, September 18, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected over most parts of the region in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina, Gusau, Kano and Yelwa later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30 – 35°C.
CENTRAL STATES: The area is expected to be cloudy with slim chances of early morning isolated thunderstorms over Jalingo, Mambilla, Markurdi and its environs. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over the high grounds of the central cities such as Abuja, Lokoja, Kaduna, Jos and Nassarawa in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25 – 31°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: The region will experience cloudy situation in the morning with probability of localised rains over Calabar axis. Localised rains/showers are not unlikely over the inland and coastal cities such as Lagos, Delta, Bayelsa and Port Harcourt including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29 – 30°C.
