
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, September 16, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over Sokoto, Gusau, Kano, Katsina and Yelwa in the morning. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Nguru and Maiduguri in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness is expected in the morning with chances of localised thunderstorms over Southern Kaduna, Lafia and Jos. Prospects of localised thunderstorms over some parts of the central cities including Abuja, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Jos and Bida in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 23 – 30°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is expected over the coastal and inland cities of the southeast with chances of localised rain showers over the inland of the southwest in the morning. Possibilities of localised rain showers over Calabar, Port Harcourt and Lagos in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25 – 29°C.
