Okorocha rated worst performing APC Governor

Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has been rated the worst in terms of performance by state governors of the federal ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

News Expresslearnt that the rating was made public at a recent meeting of the APC Governors Forum held in Kaduna. Incidentally, Governor Okorocha is the Chairman of the Forum.

A source close to the Forum toldNews Express: “Okorocha was left embarrassed when the result of the assessment was made public during the meeting.”

The source said the Imo State Governor blamed the poor rating on bad press and the failure of his image handlers to effectively inform the public about the programmes and achievements of his administration.

The source the rating to the minor cabinet reshuffle which Okorocha effected on Thursday, sacked the state Commissioner for Information, Vitalis Ajumbe, and his (Okorocha’s) Special Adviser on Information and Strategy/Director General, Imo Orientation Agency, Kelechi Okpalaeke.
