When you hear someone say, "I have a dream" or "Tryst with destiny", you instantly know what those phrases mean.

They stand for the power of words that world leaders used at critical times in history to lead and galvanise nations to motivation and action.

Impactful speaking not just changed the course of world history - many times - but can also transform our lives in the present.

But I know that some people may not believe the power of words because to them, it is not scientific.

Today, I want us to talk about the reality of positive confession in business and in life.

The truth is that what we confess can help our business to thrive or help it to fail.

The Good book says that the power of life and death is in the tongue.

That simply mean you can kill your business or make it succeed with your own tongue.

There is no doubt that developing business confidence by focusing on your strengths, continuously learning new skills, setting and achieving small, measurable goals, and building a strong support network, learning from failures, expanding your capabilities and stepping out of your confidence zone would help your business to grow.

However, that is not really enough. You must practice positive self-talk or positive confession.

What you think and say about your business or yourself is very important.

There is no doubt that a lot of people think and say negative things about their business.

Whenever you ask them how is business? They would first of all sigh before answering the question in a defeated voice,

“Business is very dull. We’re just going out for nothing.”

I have said in one of my articles on this platform that the cells in our body listen to our thoughts and act accordingly.

When you begin to think and confess that way, what it implies is that the cells in your body would not be motivated for action; rather, they would be slowing down and what that means is that your body immunity would be going down and you would be opening up yourself for different kinds of illnesses.

So, negative thinking and confession does not only lead to failure in business, it also causes different kinds of ailments.
