A woman who was set on fire by her husband following a disagreement over alleged infidelity has died in Anambra State.
The woman who was set ablaze on Tuesday died on Wednesday morning.
A short video on social media showed the woman wriggling on the ground in pain with burns, cursing her husband for his actions.
According to sources, the man whose name was not given had accused his wife of being wayward and flirting with other men.
The allegation wss said to have sparked an argument between them.
It was however gathered that as the argument raged, the man quickly poured fuel on her, setting her ablaze.
Meanwhile, Anambra State Police Command have confirmed that the woman who was rushed to the hospital same day died on Wednesday morning.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Spokesperson of Anambra State Police command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said that the woman's husband have been arrested, and that investigation into the matter has commenced.
He said: “We are aware of the matter, but it is sad to announce to you that the woman just died this morning while receiving medical attention.
“Her husband has also been arrested and investigation has commenced."
