Autopsy: Release Mohbad’s body for proper burial, Bella queries Police’s delay

Bella Shmurda, Mohbad

Nigerian Afrobeat artist, Bella Shmurda, has asked the Nigerian Police to consider the immediate release of the body of the late Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, for befitting burial arrangements.

Tribune Online reports that the rapper passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.

Following the death, the body of the ˜Peace hitmaker, who was initially buried a day after his death, was exhumed for autopsy and proper investigation by the Police.

However, two months after the exhumation of the body, the details of the autopsy results are yet to be made known by the Police to the general public.

Dissatisfied with the development, Mohbads close friend and colleague, Bella Shmurda, took to his official X page on Saturday to lament the prolonged delay in making public the result of the autopsy.

According to him, the late rapper should have been given a proper burial by now, stating that his body should be released for burial.

He wondered why it is taking too long for the results to be released for millions of Nigerians who are seeking justice for the late rapper.

He wrote, Its been over 2 months since Moh died and his body was taken in for autopsy but yet no result which is fine but please release his body. That boy needs a befitting burial and to go to rest finally naija police whats going on, we need an answer here where is the result? Where is his body? (Sunday Tribune)
