The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, February 18, 2016:
The northern part of the country is expected to experience good visibility in hazy conditions, while most part of the southern cities are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with chances of localised rain showers around the coastal cities in the afternoon hours due to the incursion of moisture into the country from the Atlantic Ocean.
NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions in good horizontal visibility are expected over the region. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 17- 21oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Abuja, Bida, Lafia, Ilorin, Jos and Kaduna will experience sunny and hazy conditions in good visibility. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 19 -23oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over the southern region. Cities like Port Harcourt, Lagos, Yenegoa, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Warri, Ijebu-ode, Ibadan and Akure might experience localised rain showers during the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-26oC.
