President Muhammadu Buhari returned home yesterday evening after a five-day vacation suddenly announced last Friday, January 5, by his Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) Femi Adesina.
Buhari, who handed over to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to act during his absence, is expected to resume work this morning.
Photos uploaded on social media by Mr. Adesina showed the President disembarking from the Presidential Jet at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and walking briskly to exchange pleasantries with top government officials who had gone to welcome him back.
The photos however showed Buhari looking a bit stressed and not like someone who had spent five days resting in London. It is widely believed that the 73-year-old former military ruler underwent medical check-up but his handles refused to disclose his exact whereabouts or show photos of him on vacation during his absence.
