Kwara teachers call off three-month-old strike

Teachers in primary and junior secondary schools, as well as local government workers in Kwara State have suspended their three-month-old strike.

The suspension followed the intervention of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and the Emir of Ilorin.

The teachers had recently vowed to continue the strike until the agreement reached with the state government on the modalities for the payment of their four month salary arrears is implemented. (Channels TV)
