The Lagos State Library Board has announced that the Ilupeju Public Library would be closed to the public from tomorrow, Monday, February 8 to Monday, March 14, 2016 to allow for the renovation of the facility.
A release by the Director of the Board, Mr. Tajudeen Lawal, stated that the renovation is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between the government and Custodian and Allied Insurance Plc.
It stated that the renovation would entail upgrading of the library to an e-library, updating of the books as well as stocking of new ones.
The release expressed regret for any inconvenience the closure might cause the public during the period, especially residents of Ilupeju and its environs.
