The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, February, Saturday, February 6, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze will be experienced over places like Kano, Katsina, Sokoto and Maiduguri. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 10-13oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Moderate dust haze is anticipated with visibility values of 2- 5km over Abuja, Zaria, Bida, Yola and Lafia. Temperatures in the night are expected to be between 10-19oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Hazy conditions are expected to prevail over the inland areas like Akure, Ibadan, Enugu, Asaba and Owerri and the Coastal cities in the Morning and afternoon. Night time temperatures are likely to be in the range of 12-20oC.

NOTE: During this period of the year, the atmosphere is usually very dry, windy and dusty. Citizens should avoid substances that may ignite easily to reduce incidences of fire outbreaks.
