The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, October 16, 2015:

SOUTHERN STATES

Coastal Areas: Cloudy mornings are expected over the South-West, with chances of localised rains over the South-East. Localised thunderstorms are expected to affect the entire coast in the afternoon/evening.

Inland Areas: Cloudy mornings are expected over the South-West, with chances of localised showers over the South-East. Localised thunderstorms are expected to affect entire coast in the afternoon/evening.

Central States: Cloudiness is expected over the entire region in the morning. Localised thunderstorms are likely to affect areas like Abuja, Lokoja, Lafia, Jos and part of Minna axis, while cloudy conditions will prevail over the other parts of the central states in the afternoon/evening hours.

NORTHERN STATES: Katsina, Kano, Dutse, Nguru and Maiduguri axis are expected to be sunny, while partly cloudy condition will prevail over the other parts of the northern states in the morning. Localised thundery activities are expected to prevail over Sokoto and Gusau axis, while Katsina, Kano, Dutse, Nguru and Maiduguri axis are expected to be sunny, partly cloudy condition will prevail over the other parts of the northern states in the morning
