The former Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, David Parradang, has been quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), for alleged corrupt practices.
The spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed to Channels Television that the former immigration boss was interrogated earlier on Monday.
Mr. Parradang was suspended by President Buhari in August, weeks after a wanted terrorist; Alhmad Al-assir secured a Nigerian visa from Lebanon.
He is however, being quizzed for his alleged role in the 2014 immigration recruitment exercise during which applicants were made to pay a thousand Naira each.
It was alleged that the botched recruitment exercise yielded about N600 million, but the immigration service declared 45 million Naira only.
Several job seekers died at different locations during the exercise that was canceled by the former President, Goodluck Jonathan. (Channels TV)
