Insurgency: Rochas Foundation to build school for IDPs in Yola

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, on Thursday said that his foundation would build a secondary school for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Yola.

Okorocha made this known when he led members of the Progressives Governors Forum on a visit to Damare IDPs camp in Yola.

He urged Adamawa State Government to provide land for his foundation for the building of the school.

He assured the IDPs that the federal government was doing its best to overcome the problem of insecurity in the country.

“We the progressives’ governors share your pains and that is why we are here to see you and assess your conditions.

“We feel bad about your condition but we want to assure you that Mr. President is committed to end the insecurity and return you to your homes.

“I will request Governor Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa to provide land within two weeks for Rochas Foundation to build a secondary school for you.”

Earlier, Bindow said that the APC government was concerned about the plight of the displaced persons.

He said that his administration would continue to address the problem of insecurity and ensure adequate care for the IDPs.
