The Kebbi State Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), has commenced preparations for accident-free ember months, the Sector Commander, Mr. Habu Dauda, has said.

Dauda told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Brinin-Kebbi that the command had commenced special patrols between Kebbi and Sokoto States to enforce traffic rules and regulations.to prevent motorists from making phone calls while driving.

He warned that motorists caught driving recklessly or disregarding traffic rules would be prosecuted.

“Those arrested for violating traffic laws would be immediately arraigned before the mobile court to demonstrate the seriousness of the command.

“Motorists should desist from violating speed limit, over loading, driving under the influence of alcohol and use of cell phone

“They should also ensure that they always wear their seat belt and desist from using worn out tyres.

“The patrol between Kebbi and Sokoto States will focus on preventing over loading of goods and passengers to protect lives.” (NAN)
