Members of the Judicial Commission of Enquiry constituted by Rivers State Government to investigate the administration of former Governor Chibuike Amaechi have been advised to sure fairness in the discharge of their assignment.
The Executive Director of an NGO, Society for Promotion of Better Nigeria, Mr. Livingstone Wechie, gave the advice on Monday in Port Harcourt in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He stressed the need for the commission to be fair to all parties involved in the investigation process.
NAN recalls that Governor Nyesom Wike recently inaugurated members of the commission in Port Harcourt.
Wechie appealed to the commission to give equal opportunities of fair hearing to those who would be invited to state their own side of the story.
He said that the constitution of the commission by the government was in accordance with the provisions of the law of the land.
He added that the government had the right to constitute a commission to look into the activities of the previous administration of former Gov. Amaechi. (NAN)
