A music maestro east of the Niger, Chief Morocco Maduka, has passed away.

Maduka, who died on Thursday of an undisclosed ailment, was known for his brand of music known as ‘egwu ekpili’.

A statement PMAN Anambra State signed by Hon Ikem Mazeli said: “With heavy heart of sorrow...We the entire Anambra state PMAN announce the exit of a music Legend (Dr Prince Morroco Maduka.....Ozonweluibe).

“He passed on this afternoon (Thursday, October 29th, 2020).

“All other arrangements as regards his planting to mother earth will be communicated to all of us later.”

Maduka, an indigene of Ukwulu in Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state, left behind a large repertoire of original songs.
