A part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has donated hundreds of overall kits to Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) at their Ijora Olopa office. The donation, which is part of the electricity distribution company’s CSR activities, took place yesterday, Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Delegates from EKEDC led by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr Adeoye Fadeyibi (represented by the Chief Human Resources Officer of the company, Aik Alenkhe) were warmly received by the Managing Director of LAWMA, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin.
Alenkhe emphasised on the reason EKEDC is dedicated to CSR initiatives as it aligns with the vision and values of the company. He said the host community must always benefit and feel the presence of the company. He reiterated the company’s dedication to the safety of lives and properties within its operational network and encourage all to be safety conscious as it is very important to the company.
Reacting to EKEDC’s kind gesture Gbadegesin expressed the gratitude of LAWMA to the dedication of the distribution company towards CSR recalling an earlier donation of kits to the agency. He mentioned the agency’s commitment to the safety of its staff and stated that more safety measures and materials are to be introduced in the agency to the advantage of its staff.
Alenkhe advised all and sundry to keep up paying their electricity bills to help facilitate greater CSR initiatives as the company is committed to empowering the quality of lives.
