Governor Okowa
A group in Eziokpor community, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, Eziokpor Pillars, has appealed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to redeem his promise made to the Eziokpor community on their roads.
In a statement recently issued by its Chairman, Mr. Stanley Nzelegu, the group noted that the contract for Eziokpor road was awarded together with Beneku, Ughelli Asaba roads among others and as of today, others have received signs of approval “but our community (Eziokpor) has not.”
“This is five months the Eziokpor Obiogo/Umuoshi road has been approved, very soon, raining season will commence fully, and the community will continue to experience same hardship they were passing through.
“Nzelegu and the entire Eziokpor community appealed to the working Governor, the road master to come to their aide and elevate them from the hardship.
“It is not a doubt that the community have supported the government of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa both the first and the second which is commencing in one month away.
“At the campaign tour, January this year, Okowa promised that the road will receive attention in the next three weeks now three months yet no sign. The community still believe that Okowa will not leave them behind but we are appealing most graciously to revisit the road approval.
“We will continue to support your government and pray to God Almighty that as you set to commence your second tenure, He will see you through,” the group stated.
