Arrangements are in top gear for the launch, in the new year, of a free mobile clinic to render free health care services to the people of Ekiti Central Senatorial District, South-West Nigeria.

The project is an initiative of the Raliat Ojudu Women Development Centre (ROWDEC), an NGO founded by Senator Babafemi Ojudu in honour of his late mother and made operational long before he became a Senator last year.

“Our mobile clinic to be launched in the new year,” Senator Ojudu, a journalist-turned-politician, announced about an hour ago via Facebook.

News Express learnt that ROWDEC took delivery of the mobile clinic (see photo) earlier this month and that upon its launch, the clinic would embark on a monthly tour of Ekiti Central to provide free medical consultancy and medicare to women and children below the age of 5.

A statement by Mr. Dimeji Daniels, the media aide to Senator Babafemi Ojudu, enjoined “the people of Ekiti Central to co-operate with the personnel that will be manning the mobile clinic so as to realise Senator Babafemi Ojudu’s desire to give better life to women and children.”
