The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME), Auchi, Major General Dickson Ehiorobo, on Wednesday organised End-of-the-Year Party for Barrack Youths and Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association at EME Barracks, Auchi, Edo State.

Speaking at the event, the Commandant noted that it is important to celebrate the barrack youths and their parents for supporting the activities of the school over time. He further charged the Soldiers’ Wives Association to continue to keep the home front safe especially those whose husbands were involved in the various internal security operations and the fight against terrorism and insurgency in the North East. He assured parents and the youths that the school will continue to reward hard work and urged them to promote peace in the barracks.

The party was also attended by members of the NASEME host community, with many participants praising the initiative, which was the first of its kind in the barracks.

They also praised the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, for his leadership qualities.

The occasion, graced by senior officers and soldiers of the school, featured variety of dances, as well as the sharing of food and drinks.
