Actor Noel Clarke
Actor Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences following a Metropolitan Police investigation into allegations involving five women.
The 50-year-old actor, from Kensington in west London, faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure over alleged offences said to have occurred between 2007 and 2016.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) authorised the charges on Wednesday after detectives submitted a file of evidence following an investigation that began about a year ago.
Clarke was first arrested on September 25, 2025, in connection with the investigation. Police said the man, who was then in his 40s, was later referred to the CPS for a charging decision.
In a statement, the CPS said its prosecutors had determined that there was enough evidence for the case to proceed and that prosecution was in the public interest.
“Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court and that it is in the public interest to do so.”
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, who is leading the investigation, said the women involved in the charges are continuing to receive support from specially trained officers.
“We urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact police. The information you provide will be dealt with in the utmost sensitivity and we have trained investigators on hand to support you,” he said.
Clarke has not publicly responded to the charges.
He is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21 at 10:00 BST.
Clarke became widely known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who between 2005 and 2010. He later worked as an actor, writer, producer and director. (AriseNews TV:, excluding headline)
