Troops of Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE have been advised to be more professional and bring to bear, their basic tactics training in the fight against Boko Haram terrorists.
Colonel Ezindu Idimah, Deputy Director Army Public Relations Sector 3, quoted the Commander Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Olufemi Akinjobi, as giving the advice on Tuesday when he visited troops’ locations within Sector 3 Area of Responsibility to deliver the Goodwill Message of the Chief of Army Staff to officers and soldiers of Nigerian Army.
Akinjobi, according to Idimah, “expressed satisfaction with the conduct of troops and urged them to be alert at all times as well as maintain good fighting spirit and momentum. He further assured them that the Chief of Army Staff utmost priority is the welfare of troops and that of their families.”
The Deputy Army Spokesman said that some of the locations visited included Kinnasara cantonment perimeter defence, Forward Operation Base Kekeno and Cross Kauwa.
Earlier in the day, according to Idimah, the Commander, Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport, Major General Victor Offiong, visited Kinnasara Cantonment Monguno to celebrate Christmas with troops of the Sector. General Offiong commended the efforts and sacrifices of the gallant troops and encouraged them to keep the good work.
“Major General Akinjobi and Major General Offiong took turns to serve soldiers meal during the Happy Hour to mark the Christmas celebration. They also visited Sector 3 Hospital to commiserate with soldiers who were wounded in action,” Idimah said in a statement.
