Leah Sharibu
Pastor (Mrs.) Helen Oritsejafor has said that the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram does not have any intention of releasing Leah Sharibu from captivity.
The light skinned and pretty banker, who made this known in an exclusive interview with Saturday Vanguard, said God will rescue Leah Sharibu from the hand of the terrorists.
According to her: “It’s very painful. It shows that the intention is not to release the girl because they know that there is no way a sensible government will part with such an amount. But one thing is sure, God is able, even when things seem very dark and unpredictable, God has a way of turning it around.
“As a woman and as a woman of God, we will continue to uphold her in prayers. We believe that one way or the other, God will come through for her and give her a reason to be free one day. It could look very far fetched but God is still alive. He never fails.”
Recall that Leah Sharibu, the only Christian among the abducted 119 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe state, was kidnapped in February, 2018.
All the girls who were captured were subsequently released, except five who reportedly died in detention, but Sharibu was held back for “refusing to renounce her faith”.
