Kidnappers, who abducted three civil servants working with the Ondo State government, have given the victims’ families 24 to pay N5million ransom or risk their relatives being killed.
The kidnappers abducted Mr Bunmi Falodun, his wife; Ronke and his in-law Mr. Ayewumi Ogunsemore, on Friday as they were returning from a social function in Akoko area of the state.
Family sources said that the kidnappers, who had killed a worker of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), Mr Taiwo Akinyemi, over delayed payment of ransom called yesterday and gave the civil servants’ distraught families till 2pm Wednesday (today) to pay N5million ransom or their beloved ones would be killed. The kidnappers had earlier demanded N100m as ransom before reducing it to N5million.
This development came as the State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, charged the leadership of the Miyetti Allah to join hands with the security agencies in ensuring that the kidnappers terrorising the state were arrested.
