The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Sunday, December 16, 2018:

Dry and sunny conditions are expected over the northern cities, sunny and hazy conditions are likely over the central and inland states while localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over few regions in the coastal cities in the next 24 hours.

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny conditions are expected over the region during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 36℃ and 11 – 17℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy condition is anticipated over the region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 37℃ and 12 – 21℃ respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy skies with interval of sunshine are anticipated over the region during the morning hours. Later in the day, localised thunderstorms are probable over Port Harcourt, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode and Yenegoa axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37℃ and 18 – 24℃ respectively.
