One person has been reported dead while some others are injured as a 20-foot container fell on one Toyota Avalon and one Villager minivan at Isaac John Junction, Maryland, Lagos.

While confirming the accident, the General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Adesina Tiamiyu, one of the vehicles has caught fire.

“The couple in one of the cars escaped although the h car is in shambles,” an eyewitness said.

The eyewitness said while the passenger of the other vehicle escaped, the condition of the driver is unknown.

Tiamiyu, however, said “rescue efforts [were] ongoing.”
