The traditional ruler of Long Dorok Chiefdom in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State, David Isa, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Tyopev Mathias, the abductors stormed the residence of the Second Class Chief of Dorock Kingdom on Monday and whiskedhim away to an unknown destination.

The police have since set up a search and rescue team for the traditional ruler.

“After the receipt of the information, the Command immediately formed a search and rescue team which is working assiduously to rescue the Paramount Ruler unhurt,” Mathias said.
