At least 7 persons were killed while 7 injured when suspected bombers attacked an outskirt of Maiduguri last night.

Four female bombers attacked two communities Mainari Shuwa and Kanuri in Jere local government area of the state, killing 3 civilians.

According to the residents, Modu Kaomi the first bomber stormed Mainari exactly 11pm and other follows.

"We had three suicide attacks in Mainari Shuwa; We lost 3 persons in the multiple blasts, there is pandemonium everywhere; also 7 other were seriously injured," Kaomi said.

The fourth bomber died on failed missions.

The Zonal Coordinator National Emergency Management Agency, Bashir Garga also confirmed the attacked.

"We have taken the injured ones to State Specialist Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment, but 3 innocent persons lost their lives."
