The Chairman, Governing Board of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Keffi, Nassarawa State, Prince Sule-iko Sadeeq Sami, has commiserated with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the people of Kebbi State on the death of its Head of Finance, Air Commodore Suleiman Ismail Chonoko.
In a condolence message on Sunday in Kaduna, he described late Chonoko as a disciplined, honest, prudent and fine officer that has contributed to the vision of the Chief of Air Staff’s efforts of enshrining accountability in the NAF.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of this fine, disciplined and prudent gentleman whose legacies would live in the patriotic work he did as an Air Force officer,” he said.
The chairman, who was also an in-law to the deceased, described him as a dedicated officer who is always ready to offer his best to the development and security stability of Nigeria.
Chonoko died on Wednesday in Abuja, after a protracted illness and is survived by three wives and 11 children. He has been buried according to Islamic rites.
“My heartfelt condolence to his family, the Chief of Air Staff, the Nigerian Air Force, the Emir of Zuru and the people of the emirate, the people of Kebbi, the Deputy Senate Leader representing Kebbi South Bala Ibn Na’Allah as well as the governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu for the loss.
“May Allah to grant him eternal rest and all of us, the fortitude to bare the loss,” Prince Sami said.
