A delegation of the Katsina State Chapter of the National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ) has paid a sympathy visit to the Katsina state Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alhaji Aminu Dandagoro, who was recently involved in an accident.

The delegation, which was led by the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Rabi’u Ibrahim Go Slow, was personally received by Dandagoro at his residence in Dandagoro, Katsina.

Rabi’u Go Slow, who was accompanied by the Secretary of NALVEJ, Alhaji Hassan Muhammad Tukur Dayi, and the Financial Secretary, Alhaji Muntari Abba Usman, told the NUJ Chairman that the veterans were in his abode to pray for the quick recovery of the wounds sustained during the accident.

The delegation prayed for Allah SWT to prevent a reoccurrence of the accident.

Responding, the NUJ Chairman said he was happy with the sympathy visit by the veterans, some of whom, he said, had taught him the art of journalism during his pupilage.

He explained that the accident occurred very close to Mu’azzam Filling Station along Kano road while on his way to attend a public function at Government House, Katsina.

The NUJ Chairman expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah that there was no fracture that he sustained during the accident.

He however showed the visiting veterans the dislocation on the right leg.

He therefore expressed gratitude for the sympathy visit.

The NUJ Chairman expressed hope that NALVEJ and NUJ would work closely to move the journalism profession forward in Katsina state.
