More than one million worshippers are expected to converge in Calabar for the Calabar Great Gospel Crusade, scheduled for later in the year.

Executive Africa Director of Christ for All Nations (CfaN), Rev. John Darku, who disclosed this during a media parley in Calabar, said the crusade would be led by Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, President of CfaN and successor to the late Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.

Darku described Kolenda as “a modern-day apostle to the nations” and called the four-day crusade, holding daily at 4:00 pm, “a divine appointment” for Cross River and the nations.

“We are not here by accident. Every crusade Christ For All Nations has held across this continent has left behind a trail of transformed cities, restored destinies, and altered histories. Calabar is next,” he said.

Darku said the crusade is “not designed to compete with the Church in Cross River State — it is designed to strengthen her.”

“Every soul won at this crusade will be committed into local churches for discipleship and growth,” he added.

Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Apostle Trinity Ogar, said “souls will be harvested massively for God, the sick will be healed, the oppressed will be set free, and churches will be revived.”

Organisers said Calabar stands to gain economically as thousands fill hotels, patronise businesses and use transport services. (Daily Sun)
