Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, April 11, 2018:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy skies are anticipated over the north western cities while sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the northeast throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 41℃ and 22 – 26℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over this region. Later in the day, increased in cloudiness is anticipated over most part of the cities with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Makurdi, Lokoja, Ilorin, Bauchi, Jos, Kaduna, Yola and Mambilla Plateau in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38℃ and 25 – 26℃ respectively, except over Jos where 32℃ /19℃ day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy skies are anticipated over this region, with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Calabar, Eket and Yenegoa axis in the morning. Later in the day, there are prospects of localised thunderstorms over most parts of this region places like Akure, Ibadan, Enugu, Oshogbo, Benin, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Eket, Uyo and Yenagoa axis during the afternoon/evening hour. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 35℃ and 20 – 25℃ respectively.
