Immediate past Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu, on Saturday, April 7, 2018, gathered individuals from across party lines at his country home, Umuakuru Emekuku in Owerri North council area of Imo State, to celebrate with him and his family as his only daughter, Dr. Chidera Ejiogu, got married to her beau, Dr. Chinedu Nhekaire.

The colourful event also served as a platform for political fraternity and rancour settlement among individuals from various political affiliations.

An event earlier scheduled to roll on a low key since it was not a full blown wine carrying suddenly metamorphosed into a carnival where the cream of personalities from all walks of life thronged to Emekuku to pertake in the joy that oozed from the occasion.

The groom, Dr. Chinedu Nhiekaire, Ehime Mbano-born medical practitioner and son of retired jurist, Justice Nhiekaire, expressed joy that his long-time dream to build a home with a woman after his own heart had finally come true. He thanked individuals in attendance for honouring their invitation, while his wife, Dr. Chidera, acknowledged the fact that God has fulfilled her desire with the kind of spouse He gave her.
