The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, February 14, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition is expected to prevail over this region for the forecast period. There are likelihood of reduced horizontal visibility of less than or equal to 5,000m over the north eastern part in the morning hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 37℃ and 19 – 24℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy condition is anticipated over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 39℃ and 15 – 18℃ respectively except Jos at 32/16℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected for the inland cities in the morning, while Owerri, Enugu, Oshogbo, Akure, and Abeokuta have chances for localised thunderstorm in the afternoon/evening hour.

There are possibilities of morning thunderstorms over Calabar, Eket, Port Harcourt, Obudu, Ikom and Benin while localised thunderstorm are not unlikely over the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 38℃ and 21 – 27℃ respectively.
