Cosmos Ojukwu announced this week that his book titled “Beyond Victory: Legacy of the Nigerian Civil War and the Future of National Unity” is now available on Amazon.
The book, which shortly after publication ranked number six in Nigeria History on Amazon, looks at the war that lasted from 1967 to 1970 not just as a past event but as a living conversation about memory, identity, reconciliation and governance in Nigeria.
According to the author, “Beyond Victory” asks a simple but hard question – beyond victory and defeat, what can Nigeria learn from its history to build a more inclusive, peaceful and united country.
He said the book is written for readers in Nigeria, the United States, Europe and the African diaspora who are interested in understanding how the war still shapes national unity today.
“Beyond victory lies a deeper challenge: learning from history and building a future in which every citizen can belong,” he said.
