The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Friday, January 26, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions are anticipated over this region with visibility range of 2 – 5km and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m are probable especially over the Northeast throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 36℃and 11 – 17℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Chances of dust haze conditions are likely over some parts of the region with visibility range of 2 – 5km and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 35℃and 17 – 20℃respectively, except over Jos where 25℃/9℃day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are possibility of dust haze conditions over most parts of the region with visibility range of 2 – 5km and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m throughout the forecast period. However, hazy conditions are probable over the coastal cities during the forecast period with chances of partly cloudy conditions over Yenagoa, Calabar and its environs during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 37℃and 15 – 23℃respectively.
