Deputy Senate Leader Bala Ibn NaAllah
Deputy Senate Leader representing Kebbi South, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, on Sunday praised youths from his constituency for peacefully protesting against substandard federal constituency job at Federal Technical College, Zuru.
The Senator, while responding to the protest by youths in Zuru Local Government, contended that the Federal Government would benefit more if it allows the legislature to play a role in certifying jobs executed in their constituencies.
He regretted that despite all his efforts in attracting projects into his constituency, “contracts are sometimes dubiously given to people who have no capacity.”
He cited “the case of Federal Technical College Zuru where colossal amount of money has been sank without anything to show,” adding: “I will take up the matter with the Ministry of Environment.”
Senator Na’Allah encouraged youths to stand up against anything they are not happy about with enough resistance in order to set the programmes of government to benefit the people.
“I am very excited with the protest,” he added.
