Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Monday, December 11, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Hazy conditions are expected to prevail over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 27 – 33℃and 13 – 20℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze conditions are anticipated over this region with horizontal visibility range of 1 – 3km and localised visibility of less than (1000m) throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 34℃and 18 – 24℃respectively, except over Jos where 27℃/15℃day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions are expected over the inland cities of the region with horizontal visibility range of 1 – 3km and localised visibility of less than (1,000m) throughout the forecast period. Partly cloudy to cloudy morning conditions are anticipated over the coastal cities with slim prospects of thunderstorm over Calabar and Eket. Later in the day, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the cities such as Warri, Calabar, Port-Harcourt, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode and Yenagoa. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 34℃and 20 – 25℃respectively.
