MASSOB-BIM Leader Ralph Uwazuruike
Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has lashed out at the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB-BIM), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, for allowing the controversial leader of Arewa Youths, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, to witness Ojukwu's Memorial Lecture in Owerri, describing it as an insult.
BNYL leader, Princewill Obuka, in a statement, also berated Shettima for saying that the prescription of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by the Federal Government was not enough to serve as a deterrent to other groups threatening the peace and unity of the country.
Shettima, who was quoted to have said this also stated that his forum had been working with Uwazuruike but Obuka alleged that the quit notice issued by Shettima and his group to Igbos living in the North had the backing of the Federal Government which prevented his arrest.
Obuka recalled that Uwazuruike went for peace meeting soon after the quit notice, questioning the kind of peace he wanted.
The group further demanded explanation from the MASSOB leader on his relationship with the Arewa Youth leader.
Obuka stressed that after the group had rounded off its ongoing grassroots sensitisation and internal referendum across the South South region, it would embark on a more serious agenda outside the grassroots.
