2017 Military Pensions Verification Exercise commences

The Lagos State Government on Monday announced that the Military Pensions Verification Exercise for the year 2017 which had commenced nationwide on Sunday, November 26, will end on Saturday, December 9, 2017.

A statement from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, (SSG), Mr. Tunji Bello listed the venues for the Lagos exercise as Ikeja Military Cantonment, Bonny Camp Cantonment and Ojo Military Cantonment.

The statement, therefore, urged concerned indigenes of the State to take advantage of the exercise to update their records as well as assist the Military in improving the integrity of its Pensions database.

It will be recalled that the Military Pensions Verification exercise is conducted periodically by the Federal Ministry of Defence in all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory to re-appraise the effectiveness of pensions’ administration towards making necessary improvements.
