Jonathan threatens Atiku, Amaechi, other heavyweight defectors *Says: Return to PDP now or ...

National Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan, has threatened party chieftains who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to hasten to return to the PDP or lose their seniority.

Speaking yesterday in Owerri during a Grand Rally to receive heavyweight defectors from other parties, Jonathan made declared that this is the time for those who left PDP to return back and occupy their rightful positions or they would be forced to queue behind others.

Though he did not mention names, Jonathan is understood to be referring to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Governors Chibuike Amaechi (Rivers); Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Kano); Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto); Murtala Nyako (Adamawa) and others who in the recent past left PDP for APC.

Prominent Imo citizens who returned to PDP during the rally held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium include former Governor Achike Udenwa; Senator Chris Anyanwu; Senator Ifeanyi Ararume; Chief Mike Ahamba, SAN; and Chief Cosmos Iwu. Apart from Anyanwu, a serving Senator on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the rest were untilyesterday members of APC.

Receiving the returnees, PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, declared that PDP would reclaim Imo from APC with the return of Udenwa and others.
