Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr Kingsley Otuaro
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has assured of the creation of enabling environment for Corps members to use their talents during their service year.
The governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor of the state, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, at the swearing in ceremony of Batch B stream one corps members deployed to Delta State, said that their determination is to strengthen and deepen the scheme to drive rural transformation and engage the youths to achieve prosperity for all Deltans.
He added that the Delta State government will not relent in its commitment to ensure that their service year is successful.
He also stated that available records in the state show that their predecessors demonstrated high level of commitment and dedication to service and their contributions to host communities will remain indelible in the mind of affected communities.
Otuaro charged new corps members to actively engage themselves in all the programmes and activities of the orientation course, be disciplined and obedient to all camp rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, the state coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Delta State, Mr. Omotade Ayodele, thanked the state government and the NYSC employers for their support for the corps members in the state.
A total of 2,713 comprising 1,342 males and 1,371 females were deployed to the state.
