A meeting of state governors of Nigeria’s leading opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been scheduled to hold tonight in Abuja, the Nigerian capital.

Information reaching News Express has it that the governors are already flying into Abuja for the meeting expected to be chaired by the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the Imo State Governor.

News Express learnt that the governors would discuss the party’s week-long nationwide membership registration exercise held from last week Wednesday, among other issues.

APC currently boasts 16 state governors as against 18 by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), leaving a state each for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Labour Party (LP).
