The Zone A Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Umar Faruk Lawal, has commiserated with the family of the Convention Planning Committee, Comrade Mohammed Yusuf, an executive member of the body who died last week, after a brief illness.

In a statement made available to News Express in Abuja on Saturday, Faruk said: “As today marks the 3days fidau prayer for our late eminent comrade Mohammed Yusuf. We wish to reiterate our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family and companions.”

Faruk prayed Allah’s mercy to be upon his soul and empower the family with the fortitude to bear the enormous loss.

He added in the statement: “We will forever cherish his gallant inputs for us in all ramifications and do our best to remember his name in our good book of life.

“Also we wish to thank all notable comrades in various capacities who rendered immediate brotherly assistance in the process of his burial.”

The death of Mohammed came a week after the death of one of the ex Presidents of the organisation, Dauda Mohammed.
