The Nigerian Metoreological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, September 24, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely over the region in the morning with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Maiduguri and its environs during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 35℃and 21 – 24℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over this region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Kaduna, Abuja, Jos, Mambilla plateau, Nasarawa and Yola during the morning hours. However, isolated thunderstorms are likely over most parts of the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃and 21 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 27/17℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the inland cities and the coast of the South-West during the morning hours with chances of rains over Abakaliki, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Obudu and Ikom. There are prospects of isolated rains over most parts of the inland and the coastal cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
